RICOH Announces New CX5 Digital Camera

Japanese electronics company “Ricoh” which is known for its office equipment such as photocopiers, printers and fax machines is now offering us a new compact digital camera by the name of the CX5. Over the last couple of years, the company has brought us a range of cameras but its new compact includes some fantastic features for a reasonable price.

For those of you be it amateur or professional, will be interested to hear of its wide-angle lens and 10.7x optical zoom that as SlashGear reported is the equivalent of 28-30mm, along with a back-illuminated 10.00 million pixel CMOS sensor.

Additional information to bring to you is of the new fast autofocus speed which can now be enjoyed thanks to the new hybrid focusing system, therefore in comparison to the CX4, the autofocus will now be shortened to 0.2 seconds for wide angle and telephoto shots.

As well as this the CX5 includes 10 megapixel image sensor along with a super-zoom mode, a bit like a 600mm mode, Smooth Imaging Engine IV and the option of noise reduction function, 14 scene modes, compatibility with Eye-Fi cards, and for simple and quick uploading of photos to online services, this can be made easy with SD memory cards with LAN wireless built-in.
